I love the look of Shibori dyed fabrics – they are so organic and the tones are variegated yet still really neutral. This collection was inspired by that look. I even went so far as to dye miniature pieces of rice paper with indigo and burnt umber watercolors to get the look I wanted for some of these prints. I love the indigo colors – but the black is so dramatic that I am drawn to it time and again.
